Kay is a director of KLL, AAL and the principle of KLCA. She supports the BKI business as a Business Manager.

Kay specialises in forensic accounting, financial disputes and areas of litigation support including civil, family and criminal matters. She is a Chartered Arbitrator, an accredited Mediator, an experienced Expert Witness and Expert Determiner. She has experience in specialist commercial matters including share valuations, insurance claims, management consultancy, construction disputes, business interruption, insolvency and corporate recovery, fraud investigations, forensic reconstruction, tax professional negligence and tax investigations.

Kay has a wealth of experience as a Forensic accountant and in matters of compliance, she was responsible for Company Secretarial matters; Chief Executive of the Joint Insolvency Monitoring Unit Limited for the self-regulation of the insolvency profession; The Board of Inland Revenue's Chief Investigating Accountant and Head of Accountancy Profession and Accountancy Advisor in the Special Compliance Office at the Inland Revenue; Arbitrator and Expert Witness.

Kay is the co-author of Tolley’s Tax Appeals (published 2001); Tolley’s  Accountancy Litigation Support (1998-2004); Experts in the Civil Courts (OUP, 2006). She regularly lectures at events for accountants, barristers and judges, and expert witnesses.

Barbara Jeremiah

Barbara is a director of KLL and AAL. She is the ‘Artist in residence’ for BKI and supports KLCA as an Office Manager.

Barbara has an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, BA (Hons) Art in the Community from the University of Surrey, Textile Diploma from East Berkshire College, City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 from the London College of fashion, Ceramics diploma from Morley College, ACSET Adult Teaching Diploma (London) and RGN Nursing Qualification from the Royal Melbourne Hospital and St George’s Hospital (London).

A member of: Soroptimist International, The Royal Horticultural Society, New Embroidery Group, Phoenix stitchers, Holybourne Beaders, Busy Bees Hampshire, MG Car Club, A Freeman of the City of London, and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.

She has undertaken commissions in textiles and ceramics and lectures on the History of Embroidery, The Bayeux Tapestry, The Straw Hat industry in the UK, and the National Garden Scheme for whom she raises funds by opening her garden, as well as other charities, for over 20 years. Her garden was given an award by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust for an eco-friendly garden run on conservation lines with an English bluebell wood as its main feature. 

Barbara takes workshops on the stitch she invented, on embroidery and canvas work techniques, and design. Her on-going interest in gardening and colour is reflected in the designs mainly taken from nature and art.

Andrew is a director of KLL, AAL and KLCA.

Andrew Richmond is a Chartered Accountant who manages our compliance accounting and tax services and also assists Kay Linnell with forensic accounting.   

After graduating in 1989, Andrew joined a 20-partner accountancy practice in Central London where he achieved his Chartered Accountancy qualification and stayed for 20 years. Initially trained as an auditor, Andrew worked for 3 years (2001 to 2004) at this practice assisting Kay Linnell becoming experienced in forensic accounting assignments. Andrew also gained experience on corporate finance transaction support services, including writing pre-acquisition/pre-lending due diligence reports, preparing business plans and undertaking in-depth financial projections.  

Andrew joined Kay Linnell & Co in 2010 and is now a director of Accounts Action Limited and Kay Linnell & Company Limited. Andrew has a depth of experience working alongside Kay Linnell on forensic accounting and litigation support projects, including share valuations, accounts reconstructions, business interruption, loss-of-profits claims, tax investigations, fraud investigations and criminal confiscation proceedings. 

Andrew prepares the UK company accounts for our owner-managed corporate clients, together with the corporation tax returns and SORP accounts for UK charities. Andrew is also adept in reconstructing meaningful accounts from incomplete books and records. He is the firm’s practice accountant.
